In the early years of 1980s, Lubys restaurants, a publicly traded company (NYSE symbol LUB), with locations in five states, headquartered in San Antonio, in deciding to use Internet as a pararell business operational platform, selected ComtekMedia to design their intranet and public web sites, program the softwares for all on-line applications and host their web sites.
Throughout the years, ComtekMedia was also assigned with many other media, marketing projects in the creating, designing, editing and publishing of different public relations porfolios, business promotional materials, in-store displays, advertisements and employee publications.
ComtekMedia continued to be a retained non-exclusive Information Technology and Media consultant for Lubys Hqs executives for many years (Mr. Bary J.C. Parker, President and CEO, Mr. Herbert Langton, Director of IT Operations). During this early era, Lubys activated the utilization of secured wired and wiredless WAN to process, gather and manage realtime accounting data of Point-Of-Sales work stations at all locations that Lubys operated in five states. Lubys was later merged with other hospitality corporations in Houston, Texas, but continued the independent NYSE stock ticker symbol LUB, with 120 restaurants in operations in Texas now.
